The Top Three Breaking Bad Episodes, Ranked



Here are my top three favorite episodes from the series.

#2 - "Crawl Space"

Season 4, Episode 11

Walt’s mental breakdown at the end of “Crawl Space” has become one of the most iconic scenes in “Breaking Bad” for good reason, but the episode also excels for a handful of subtler reasons.

The meticulousness of Gus’ operation is expanded via the reveal of his secret medical facility, while the Ted Beneke subplot is more-or-less resolved in a wholly unexpected, darkly comic fashion.

Of course, Gus’ ultimatum and the episode’s spine-chilling end deserves endless praise: “Breaking Bad” was often a slow burn, but these kinds of payoffs were more than worth the wait.
Doctors and nurses hastily prepare medical equipment until a phone call prompts them to wheel a stretcher out of the room. Upon their exit it's revealed that they are working in a fully equipped tent inside an abandoned warehouse.

"I don't want to talk to you or anyone else about it. I'm done explaining myself."

A car comes racing toward them, frantically honking its horn until it comes to a halt and its driver, Jesse Pinkman, jumps out. The medical staff put the unconscious Gustavo Fring onto the stretcher and rush him into the tent, leaving behind the severely injured Mike Ehrmantraut,despite Jesse's desperate calls of "what about him, huh!?"

In the tent, the doctors and nurses focus intently on saving Gus from his self-induced poisoning. Jesse stumbles in carrying Mike, who is bleeding profusely, and shouts angrily, "This man needs help!" The head doctor, Dr. Barry Goodman, shoots back, "This man pays my salary" in reference to Gus, and continue ignoring Mike...
